A student should be kept home until he or she is fever free for 24 hours. In the case of strep throat, the student should have been on medication for 24 hours before he or she is allowed to return to school. Contagious diseases must be reported to the office. Please send a note or call the office to alert the staff if there is a change in your child’s health. A child who has a sore throat, earache, discharge from the nose, a skin rash, eye infection, or elevated temperature of 100 degrees F should be kept home.
