 Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program! This will allow your contribution to have a greater reach.

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations.

When an employee donates, they'll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes their own donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ration.

(Must be postmarked by December 31st of the current year for tax deduction.)

• Tax Credit Scholarship Donations

Donors who donate to Empower Illinois or Big Shoulders Fund SGO receives a 75% tax credit for the amount of their gift, up to $1 million.

The 2:1 Matching gift program will once again be offered for donations received through Empower Illinois from 12/1/2021 - 2/28/2022 or until funds are depleted, whichever occurs first. Donations will be matched up to $50k/school while funds remain available. 

Please consider making a matching gift donation beginning 12/1/2021 to take advantage of this 2:1 match opportunity. Please be sure to designate the donation to St. Bede the Venerable School.
