6th Grade Computer Class Assignments

This is your final and most important project, and it represents everything you have learned about thinking, writing, and understanding technology. Because this is your last major assignment, giving your best effort is not optional, it is essential. This is your opportunity to show how much you have grown, how deeply you can think, and how clearly you can express your ideas. The effort you put into this project will directly reflect the kind of student you choose to be. Finish strong, stay focused, and take pride in the work you create. 

You will be working on this mostly in class, so be productive and focus on the work. Finish up ideas, proof read your points, evidence, citations, and make corrections at home.

You are writing a explaining what the “295% uninstall rate” means and whether it is misleading or not. You must use your sources in NotebookLM to help you.

Start with an where you explain what happened in the news and briefly mention the 295% statistic. End your introduction with your opinion (for example: “This statistic is misleading” or “This statistic is not as serious as it sounds”).

In your 2nd paragraph , explain what the 295% increase actually means in real numbers. You should also include your own example to show how percentages can make things seem bigger than they really are.

In your 3rd paragraph , explain what information is missing (like total users or normal uninstall numbers) and talk about who reported the statistic and why they might present it that way.

In your 4th paragraph , explain how different sources might tell the story differently. Then end with your final opinion—do you think this situation is a big problem or just a temporary reaction?
