Welcome, Fourth-Grade Families!

I'm Amy Onate, and I'm thrilled to be your child's fourth-grade teacher! I have had the privilege of teaching at St. Bede since 2015, and during my time here, I've taught preschool, first grade, and as a resource teacher. Now, I'm excited to embark on this new journey with your children.

My Classroom Philosophy

I believe every student is a unique learner who thrives with a variety of instructional approaches. In our classroom, students will have opportunities to engage with content in diverse and meaningful ways to support their understanding and application of academic standards. We'll use interactive games, collaborative projects, small group instruction, and hands-on activities to promote active engagement and help students master new skills.

My goal is to foster a classroom where students feel safe, valued, and supported. When students feel emotionally secure, they are more willing to take academic risks, embrace challenges, and learn from their mistakes. I also strive to build a strong sense of community where mutual respect, responsibility, and collaboration are emphasized and encouraged every day.
